Dear sir/madam,
I am writing to resign from the position of a software developer in your renowned organisation, DR software solutions.
My parents, who are senior citizens have bought a new house in Mumbai, which is the chief reason behind my decision. Being aged, they need care and attention, making it inevitable for me to relocate. Besides I am their only child so I feel it is my responsibility to render them support.
I am scheduled to join my new office on April,2020. I am therefore, serving a two months’ notice before resigning, in accordance with the norms of the company. I assure that I shall fulfil all my responsibilities and submit my ongoing project before I quit.
I thank my seniors as well as my colleagues who have always been affable and cooperative with me and helped me to hone my technical skills. The work culture and the environment in this office were always congenial. I felt fortunate to be a part of this fraternity.

You recently received a letter from a fund asking for advice about whether to go to college or try to get a job. You think she should get a job.

Dear Nancy,
How are you? I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to give my suggestions regarding the advice solicited by you on seeking work or getting enrolled in a university.
I retrospect the days when we were doing our graduation together. I remembered how boring you found all the lectures and often dozed off in the classroom. You were always counting the days when the course would end. Hence, I feel that opting to study would not be a great choice for you.
Perhaps a job shall be a wiser decision in your case. It will not only make you financially independent but also help you to gain the skills and experience that can assure you a promising career ahead. Moreover, you will be able to save enough money to contribute for your sister’s wedding.
I recommend that you could take up the profession of a choreographer. You always danced gracefully. I can’t forget your stupendous dance performance in our college annual festival. You wooed so many fans that I envied you.

You work for an international company. You are celebrating special family event and need to take time off for it. Write a letter to your boss.

Dear Mr. Wilson,
I am writing to seek your permission to take leave from the office as I have to organise a family function.
I shall be hosting a party to celebrate my parent’s golden marriage anniversary. It is going to be the most special day for them. I have invited all our relatives to join us in our celebration. I, therefore, have to make arrangements for their stay and meals; besides the party preparations.
The D-day is on February 2,2020. I require 3 days off from work from 1st February till 3rd February, 2020.
It is imperative for me to spend two extra days to receive and see-off all the guests and take care of them while they will be with us.
I have already worked out a plan so that my work does not suffer in my absence.Cindy, my team mate has graciously offered to responded to all my clients’ queries in that period in that period. After I re-join the office on 4th February, I would report one our early till I complete my outstanding tasks.
